Very new to Stripe so not totally familiar with all the verbiage but Stripe is connected to 2 different businesses - it is used to accept deposits for appointments and then also used to pay for food to be delivered to them. so want to be able to let client's know which is which on their credit card statements

Okay you want the customers who are paying to know which business they are paying on their credit card statements?

Gotcha, then you want to set a Statement Descriptor. You can do this at the account-level or per-payment (this depends a bit on your integration for how you would do that)
