hello! what do you mean by payment statement?
Hi!
I mean when the customer purchase product, the receipt mail is sending automatically
But when we make a transaction to the connected account, Is there any automatic mail be sent?
Are you asking if the customer will receive a receipt if the transaction is made on the connected account?
So the money flow will be like this.
Customers ->purchase top-up -> us(platform) -> calculate each seller's revenue -> Transaction ->Seller
Customers ->purchase top-up (receipt) -> us(platform) -> calculate each seller's revenue -> Transaction (Any email?) ->Seller
So what I'm asking is (Any eamil?) part
Seller will use connected account (Express)
Is there any automatic e-mail such as remittance statement?
Or should I develop the function?
Hi, you can configure your email settings and send a receipt to your customer. Are you using direct charge or destination charge?
I'm using separate
You mean separate charges and transfers?
Yes
How many parties are involved here? so far I only see 3. The platform, the connected account and the customer.
It is
So the customer get the receipt from Stripe right?
What document can seller(connected account) get from Stripe?
afaik, the Express connected account doesn't get any email notifications
Oh.. Okay then is there any API about getting acceptance for connected account of that the stripe cross-boarder transaction fee can be deducted?
i don't understand the question, can you try rephrasing?
Oh I mean if we make a transaction to the cross-boarder(the connected account that is not located in U.S) connected account
The cross-boarder transaction fee will be charged to the connected account (deducted money will be sent)
So the Sellers(connected account) may have to accept that the fee can be charged
I'm wondering if there is a process to take the acceptance in the on-boarding session
Or during the session of registering their bank account to the connected account
Hi @crystal sun is your question is related to the original ask -> sending emails to customers?
Yes because what I want to do is to find if it's possible to notify the fee will be charged or at least, getting the acceptance to avoid unnecessary claims
So it's to notify the connected account, not the customer.
yes
Original question was about connected account
"Will the default mail such as payment statement sent to the "connected account" when the transaction happened?"
no email will be sent to the connected account about when the transaction happened as far as we know
in general though, we aren't so familiar with what emails are sent for an Express account. If you want confirmation, i'd suggest reaching out to Stripe Support : https://support.stripe.com/contact/email
I got that there will be no notification
What about getting the acceptance to avoid unnecessary claims?
i don't understand what you're referring to by acceptance - do you have an example?
so are you asking if the tos_acceptance which the Express account accepts includes / covers the fact that the FX rate used to convert amount already includes the FX fee?
If it contains the fact, yes!
we don't know, you can reach out to Stripe Support to check : https://support.stripe.com/contact/email
