I am setting it up and have the account ready, but am wondering on a standard account if you can have that account accept payment options of like Klarna?

To get the whole picture. Here is my scenario.

1. We have an affiliate that is selling our product .

2. Want to create a connected account for that affiliate

3. When the affiliate sells the product, we get the backend cut and they keep the rest.

4. We want those customers to be able to purchase it with a Credit Card or with a payment option of Klarna or another delayed monthly payment

We only work in the U.S. for now.

How do you setup which payments the connect account support or does the owner of that account set it up?

In your documentation we want to prevent them from changing settings like the payout and it says to talk to support about that.
