My advice would be to not remove items upfront since you don't plan to credit back or charge again if they add them back

it'd be best to use SubscriptionSchedules to plan future changes like removing item 2 at the end of the period. See https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/subscription-schedules

Perfect. So I can create/update a Subscription Schedule for an existing subscription using from_subscription=sub_..., so that the next cycle has the desired state of the subscription
