delay_days sets how long to delay funds before they're available for payout
So time to payout would be: normal time + delay_days
So, in the context of we send a connected account funds via a transfer, what does that mean?
Ahhhh I see.. This would only matter if a connected account was... using their stripe account to do payment intents/charges/etc...
OK, so since funds are immediately "available" at the connected account when we do a transfer, they are available for payout when the next scheduled payout happens.
Thank you, I was hoping this was the case, because our connected accounts will be able to be paid out faster ๐
cool dog btw.
OK, this clarifies it for me, thanks again!
Yeah if you don't specify delay_days, then they're subject to normal payout speed: https://stripe.com/docs/payouts#payout-speed
If you do specify delay_days, the funds won't be available to payout until normal speed + delay_days
Awesome. I don't think, for our business, we would ever need to set delay days, since our connected accounts do not accept payment.
All payment is accepted by the platform account, then remitted to connected account via transfer ๐
Awesome, glad that will work! I am still catching up on this server. Are there any open questions you have here?
Nope! Change of the guard?
Thanks for much for the help, both of you ๐
No problem!
