Hmm not known as far as I know. What do you mean by "messed up" exactly?

Why are the colors messed up on the right side of the blue/white band that goes behind the logo/icon?

It looks this way in the emails as well as on the email receipt preview in Stripe's GUI

I could understand if they were attempting to stylize it or make it have a shadow or look 3D (or a gradient) but it's just odd looking and cuts off in a rectangle abruptly and looks like an error

Hmmm yeah I think that is just the design. Don't disagree that it looks a bit odd though. I can file feedback about this and find out if it is intentional and note that we should adjust it if it is intentional

Thanks. The colors/look are consistent on all the other elements but this one, just looks like someone attempted to make it look nice and messed up the CSS 😛

Just for reference here is the "identity" page:

You can see the gradient band goes across the full width (in the background faintly) and looks more normal, I assume this was the same intent with the email receipt
