Hi, it should work, https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout/taxes?tax-calculation=stripe-tax#create-session, with Apple Pay, Stripe Tax displays only when the customer’s browser supports Apple Pay version 12.

in this case I would need to have the shipping cost available on the product page to provide to stripe for apple pay right?

I assume your 'product page' means Checkout in this case. If so, yes, the shipping cost should be there.
