So what exactly is the issue? That the payment wasn't automatically retried by Stripe?

do you see it was failed and it will retry again in next hours/days
when I go to the invoice details https://d.pr/i/pRPN1Q I'll be able to make payment by clicking Retry charge button but why Stripe is unable to do it automatically? maybe am I missing something in the request?

hmm, do you see it was trying 2 times already and payment was failed
I checked it on several customers and I was able to make payment only via the button
so they have sufficient funds
I'm worried that stripe will try to do the last check and will cancel that subscription and our company will lose customers and money

Can you share the subscription ID (sub_xxx)?
If you look at the decline_code in the error message, its pickup_card

The customer can’t use this card to make this payment (it’s possible it was reported lost or stolen).
They need to contact their card issuer for more information.
Not sure why it works when you trigger it from the dashboard
I'd recommend talking to our support team as they're experts in declines and should be able to take a deeper look
