I believe we spoke about this yesterday and established that you can't use the 4242 card with ARS currency due to the limitations imposed on Argentinian cards.
Hi, yes, I followed up the thread via e-mail and I got told that the problem is not the the test card but the rada configuration
since the reason of the error is a block by Radar, now, I don't know if the Radar is blocking the payment cause the 4242 is not useful for this usecase anymore or if I need to modify Radar to test this usecase
Interesting. I think that may be a red herring. Can you DM your email so I can look at the email thread you have with our support folks?
yup
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand you need assistance with the decline on a test subscription. I’ll be happy to help.
To start, the decline of the payment is an expected behavior because Stripe may only present prices in Argentine Pesos (ARS) to Argentine cardholders. ARS transactions from non-Argentine cardholders will be declined. To test this successfully, you can still use the test card:4242. However, you'll need to change the card country as Argentina location.
I hope the above is clear, though please let me know if I can provide any additional clarification.
Warm regards,
Kathleen
Hi,
Thanks for the response but the test card: 4242 doesn't work. I added the card with the country Argentina, and the payment gets declined anyway.
Hi there,
Thanks for getting back in touch.
I’ve checked this for you and it appears that the test payment is being canceled due to the settings you set on the blocking threshold in Radar Settings. Please adjust your Radar Settings and kindly try again.
I’ll remain attentive to your reply.
Warm regards,
Kathleen
Hmmmm, I think I tried that yesterday, but maybe I overlooked the Radar aspect of the problem. In any case, you can update the Radar blocking threshold here: https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/radar/risk-controls
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
Ah, I see you mentioned you cannot adjust that. Can you elaborate?
yes, If i try to move the threshold to "allow more payments" i get the save button disabled and the following message "You are currently unable to select this threshold. Allowing more payments will increase fraud and is higher risk for most businesses. If you feel your use case warrants special consideration please contact support to initiate a manual risk review."
so I added custom "allow" rules to not use the default Radar rule, I added rules to allow highest risk level payments, elevated risk level, normal, unknown, with score >= 75, everything, none works
also I can't see which specific rule is blocking the payment, cause if I check the rules for blocking or allowing, it says there's no payments blocked by any of those, yet my payments get blocked by Radar
You should talk with support to get that enabled. If you state that you need to be able to test these payment integrations, they should be able to review your account and give you access to adjusting the slider on Radar
It's a default rule that you can't change unless you pay for Radar for Fraud Teams, as far as I know.
and I can't disable Radar at all? I mean
