we have added Google Pay option in our Android app, Sandbox testing all done and working as excepted. To make it live we request google and they rejected our request "Please update to our approved Google Pay button." https://developers.google.com/pay/api/android/guides/brand-guidelines#payment-buttons
are we missing anything from our side?
as we are using Stripe, this approval is required?
Hi ๐ I've heard of people running into problems getting apps approved before for similar reasons, and usually in those cases the review and rejection were determined to be incorrect during an appeal. I would recommend that you appeal the rejection with Google as (as far as I know) we do adhere to their guidelines.
What guidelines did they say the button violates?
Also based on the screenshots provided, you have left out the Google Pay payment sheet. Please use the test environment to see the payment sheet and complete a test transaction.
I already sent above screenshot
Hi there ๐
Stepping in here
It seems like Google recently changed their brand guidelines where rounded Google Pay buttons aren't acceptable anymore
https://github.com/stripe/stripe-react-native/issues/1329
We're working on updating button assets for Android SDK here
https://github.com/stripe/stripe-android/pull/6471
We don't have an ETA to share but I'll flag this to our team internally to see if we can prioritize this
