Yes.
Actually, the Default text color is black
so if the Appearance is white then it's working fine. because I am using white background color

The react-native team will investigate this issue but I'm unable to promise any fix timeline.

To expedite the troubleshooting, I'd also suggest you to attach a trimmed down version of your react-native project so that the react-native team can quickly run your project and reproduce the issue.
