yep I have created a new pricing table, and can successfully set new trial for my products, however there doesn't appear to be an option to turn off the requirement to set payment details

Yep, I see the same. The issue isn't setting a free trial, it is allowing one to start without payment info

or more specifically, I want to do this https://stripe.com/docs/payments/checkout/free-trials but with a payment table, not a custom checkout
