I see that at least in test mode, you can see the card issuer and country after the transaction has gone through. I wonder if it's possible to see this kind of data before actually processing a transaction

No, it's not possible, unfortunately. But you can ask for billing country from the customer.

Would it be possible to do a card check transaction? Like reserving 0.10$ and cancelling it afterwards?

I see that for example with discord, when subscribing to Nitro, you have to add your card before you can initiate any transaction. The currency is based off the card you have selected. Any idea how this could be implemented?

Overall you should not be creating an authorization that you don't intend on capturing to charge your customer -- this is against card network regulations
