You can test Stripe integrations over HTTPS. We do not limit testing to localhost. This sounds like an issue/limitation with the Wordpress integration you have and you would need to reach out to Wordpress about this in that case.

I see...so it's likely an issue with the theme?

Because I have tested Stripe integration many times on WordPress with other themes...the developer insists I'm an idiot.

I'm not sure what a "theme" is in this case -- that sounds like something WordPress-specific?

I don't really know anything about how the WordPress integration works but yeah it sounds to me like you would need to work with them on this
