Hello!
This isn't really the channel/place to ask for that kind of help - I'd suggest looking into sites like upwork to hire developer help
Hi, thanks. Sorry about that. Stripe actually suggested it. I tried those and had a couple pretty bad experiences. I just need a few modifications. This was kind of my last resort. I didn't want to break rules. Is it okay to ask for any recommendations if someone knows anyone? I made my email public on my profile. I'm in Massachusetts.
I'm not sure why support directed you here - we can help if you have developer questions, but again this isn't really the right place to try and hire a developer.
The support person at Stripe was awesome said this was the most reliable place. We have a good repoire. I have questions though I'm not a developer. I just need a few hours of help. I'll try anywhere that's reliable. I don't mean to break any rules. I just down have any place to turn. I'm 65 and innovate a way to protect renters that's taking off. My developer had a family emergency and needed to leave. I know the front end is html, CSS, javascript and we host with AWS .net, C#.
I'll remove my post if it's inappropriate and violates policy.
It doesn't violate policy, but we just don't offer anyway for you to ask for help like this - the people that staff this channel (like me) work for Stripe and can't be hired to build your integrations for you
Okay. I understand. I wasn't aware of that. I thought you independent specialists with using Stripe. My apologizes for misunderstanding. Would it be inappropriate to refer anyone who's good that doesn't work for Stripe who wants some work on the side? The funny thing is I'm a one-person startup that appears large because I was featured in Forbes and others.
That's why I recommended upwork - we don't really have a list of specialists or anything that we could refer.
Okay. Could you recommend some screening questions for me? I tried someone from there who tied to charge me for 11hrs for a 2 hr. job. So it made a little apprehensive.
Sorry that's really not something I can help with
Okay. Does Stripe provide certifications a developer may have I can look for?
We don't offer that either - it's really up to you to do this vetting yourself
Okay. I understand. This site would be where a developer would ask for help with implementing a specific issue?
Karbi, thanks for the guidance. I do appreciate that you were patient and not rude.
No worries - and yes, this is a site that a developer would come to if they had issues with their integration and needed help
