Hello 👋
You should be able to add trial days without needing to re-create the subscriptions. Are you doing this via the dashboard OR the API?

I can add trial days from the dashboard (or API), but it looks like this creates an invoice since the subscription is in an active state, being converted back to trialing?

For example: evt_1Mvi1xR1o3UbQqUFcZoJdh6u when I updated the subscription to include more free trial days also created an invoice: evt_1Mvi1xR1o3UbQqUFJC6xEnXl.

Sorry for the delay, I asked a colleague to look into this as well. They said that a trial will always generate an invoice and the reason is due to it being a metered billing Price where you had already applied usage.

So you need to clear the usage from that period before you update the Sub to extend the trial
