The Checkout Session doesn't know about the Payment Method associated with that customer so it's going to ask for the required information anyway.

Why would not it know about it? ๐ค
Before I ask for payment, I check in the dashboard the customer payment method and this is what I see
Seems like the canadian bank account is linked, verified, and set as a default payment method.
It also goes against what is explained here: https://stripe.com/docs/payments/acss-debit/set-up-payment
collect payment method details in advance, with the final amount or payment date determined later. This is useful for:
Saving payment methods to a wallet to streamline future purchases
