if it's working on one reader but not the other perhaps the reader is faulty. I'd start by making sure the problematic reader is updated to the latest firmware at least
do you know the serial number of the two readers, the one working and the one not?

well the main thing I wanted to look at what firmware version they use, and they're both on the latest version at least
overall I'd suggest writing to https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true with a detailed email with all the context like the serial numbers of the readers, a video of the behaviour, the exact code in your integration plus PaymentIntent IDs used in the video, so we can have a look; always possible the reader just needs to be replaced, that happens
