Hi there
The Orders API is being deprecated, yes.
Have you already built an integration using it? Or are you scoping something new?
Yea I have built an integration using it.
Last year, $140k went through the order api
I need to know what to do. Do we have to go throw it out already?
I believe you should have received communication (in the form of an email) about the deprecation and instructions on how to handle migrating to the new Tax API. Was that not the case?
As a developer, I got nothing. Wait until I ask my superior.
Gotcha. Yeah it likely was sent to the email of the owner on the Stripe account
He didn't receive any mail too
personally I think the orders api should remain the way it is, just add a field to add the tax api information to it to apply taxes to it (like you can with subscriptions). This is because it seems like a lot of people depend on it already.
@timid oracle you will want to reach out to our Support team in that case and they can look at the email history or can help relay the necessary communication. Unfortunately it has been decided that the Orders API can't continue to be supported.
You can reach out to our Support team via https://support.stripe.com/contact/login
True, however sometimes decisions can change too so only time will tell if it gets removed or not.
