this is a diagram of what needs to happen and my client seems to think that this is a simple adjustment to be made within the stripe account.

This is developer chat. So if you are asking "is X possible at Stripe" you would need to know what API calls are being made and what the integration looks like from a developer's perspective. We don't have a lot of context on WooCommerce or Dokan, so this likely isn't the best place to ask that question.

looking at the example code snippet that is there it calls the sk_test or live API key and then uses transfer_data[amount] and the transfer_data[destination] to send money to a connected account

It appears to me that this would require building a plugin that would be enabled in WordPress and would need to integrate with Dokan/WooCommerce.

I am just looking for a confirmation on this so that I can explain it to my client 🙂

I can't really confirm, as I don't know the state of things for WordPress or Woo/Dokan. You might consider reaching out to them instead, as they'll have better state on what is/isn't possible. On the Stripe side of things, the integration you mentioned is really common, so it's definitely possible if those plugins allow it

thanks @jovial kindle - this is why in my question I specified that we were using WoprdPress with WooCommerce and Dokan marketplace so that I could hopefully find someone who knew about this combination.
