Thanks @bronze wyvern . We were discussing a use case for a bill pay service that I run. I want to enable my customers (businesses) to enter bills into my application and then using Stripe, I want to allow them to pay these bills. @sand fossil had suggested creating a customer object for the customers intending to pay bills and then charge them using a payment intent.

My follow-up question is:

Can a customer object at the platform level receive a direct payout?

Gotcha, thanks for the summary! No, it's not possible to send funds to a customer object in this way.
