Hi, there is not. You'd need to monitor this on your end and initiate the top up manually.
It is just how it works now, I'm happy to share this feedback with the product team if you could add more details as to why you'd want this to happen automatically?
Aside from, it's just easier...
yeah, we were wondering because we believe itll help reduce concerns when it comes to the balance of the platform becoming negative due to refund and/or chargebacks.
Thank you for sharing
I actually think you can use this: https://stripe.com/docs/add-funds#use-funds. You can add funds to 'Future refunds or disputes or negative balance'
so youre saying set a different fund apart from the platform balance just for refunds and chargebacks
That is correct, it's for future refunds, disputes and negative balances.
ic...
ok thank you for the info!
wait i have one more question
regarding the last sentence..."If you receive an email from Stripe about debiting your bank account, first check your balance."
so when this future refunds/disputes/neg balance account fund goes to zero, stripe will start deducting from platforms available balance.
will stripe debit after the platform balance goes negative?
That is correct, Stripe will debit the bank account
I see your point though, if you never want to have the debit occur.. then it makes sense that I still share your feedback of making an automatic top up available if this balance goes below this threshold.
yeah
but i just feel like the future refund dispute is kind of ...not sure if thatll be helpful i mean we might as well just have enough in the platform instead of having a separate account cos ultimately, its the same thing just in diff accts
i just dont see the reasoning behind why we would want to have another account just for refunds disputes
Shared your feedback with the team, thank you!
