Hi there, the first invoice.paid event will have same value for period_start and period_end. So you can check these two fields to tell if it's the first invoice, or subsequent invoices.

If you test from the dashboard, it will only bill you the first time you test.
I would like to test to see if it detects auto-renewal payments after the second time. Is it possible to send a test trigger for auto-renewal?

I'd suggest you to use test clocks https://stripe.com/docs/billing/testing/test-clocks so that you can advance the clock and trigger the subscription renewal

I heard that I have to register with Billing to use that clock. Is there a difference between Billing subs and regular subs?
Does Billing charge a separate fee?
