Hmmm, I don't believe that would happen on Invoice finalisation failure no. Only generally if payment fails

Thanks, that was my guess. No specific scenario, just saw some stories online of people who weren't aware invoices were failing to finalize and therefore weren't receiving payments.
I would have thought that the subscription status would be updated so that I can just listen to the update event, but it seems listening to the finalization_failed event is required
Seems weird that a subscription remains in the "active" status even if invoices are failing to finalize though. Violates principle of least surprise in my eyes. If invoice fails to finalize, then the subscription should become past_due, because, well, it is past due by definition.
