Not really, no. One possible approach would be to schedule the change with a Subscription Schedule instead of making an immediate change directly to the Subscription: https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/subscription-schedules

ok, thanks, will read over that. If there is a suggestion board somewhere allowing sub updates without immediate billing would be nice, that makes sense I guess for services, but not so much for shipped product subscriptions.
