I believe you'd first need to change the payout schedule to manual before you could create a manual payout - the reason you're getting 0 for the available balance is because with automatic payouts we prepare the payout before the funds actually settle so they can land in your bank account as soon as the funds are available
AH! That makes complete sense.
Would you be able to speak on why that's not the same behavior in the test environment? It's fine if you don't know that, I'm just curious.
Oh and is it normal that the prepared payout made by the automatic schedule doesn't make a "payout.created" event in the logs? Because there are currently no payouts in the "Payouts" table on the Balance page. Or do you think THAT might be because the account is still in the "First Payout" delay window?
I'd expect the behavior to be mostly the same in test mode but I know with fund availability being faster in test mode things may seem a bit weird - if you share a specific test mode payout example we can take a look
And as far as I know payout.created should still be genrated in test mode
I need to head out, but if you have any other questions codename_duchess can help you out
The payout.created hasn't been generated in production.
Let me check the test environment.
@timber swallow understood! thank you for your assistance
Hey @rigid finch, do you know whether a "payout.created" should still be generated in production when it's handled by the automatic payout schedule? Also, there's nothing in the "Payouts" table on the Balance page; but a zero is returned for the available balance when request via the API. I dunno if maybe this behavior is because the account is still in the "First Payout" delay window.
payout.created should be generated for automatic payouts as far as I'm aware
Hmm... so maybe it not because of the delay window I mentioned?
And they will be created like normal once the account is past that window?
Yeah past that window you should get the events like normal
Okay, I think that makes sense. Comparing the events to my test environment, there was also a "balance.available" event after the payments, but there's no such even in production and maybe that's also because of this delay window.
How long will this thread stay open? In case I want to report back after the window has passed.
We archive threads after a short while of inactivity to keep our list of open threads maintainable
Ah
But just message in the main channel if you need help again and someone will help
Got it! Well, thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it!
