I think my account might not be set up correctly
it's acting like a Connect platorm ?
How do you want it to be acting? Right now, based on the request it looks like you're trying to create a PaymentIntent on one of your connect accounts that is connected to your platform - in that case, we look at the settings on the connect account to decide which payment method types are valid to use
right. but the platform (Eeasy digital downloadsD) has link enabled.
the same payment/transaction test works fine on a different site that is connectet with EDD with a different stripe account
It doesn't matter if the platform has link enabled - if the PaymentIntent is being created on the connected account it's the connet account that has to have link enabled

so on the account with the issue when I go to Setings I see the Connect features https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/connect

Let's back up for a minute- are you trying to use Connect or not? Current what you're doing is that YOU have a platform account and you are using that platform account to make additional requests on your connected accounts

If you're trying to use Connect, then the issue isn't with the "connect" feature on the account - the issue is that each connected account needs to be enabled to use the payment method you want
(deleted the messages since this is a public channel and I don't want you leaking your email address)
It sounds like you're using a third party plugin/extension that you don't control - so you need to talking to EDD to get more information on what you may have missed during your setup process
I'd also suggest looking at this settings page (https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/payments) on your accoutns to see if you can get link enabled yourself
