No that's not how proration works. I would recommend taking a look here https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/prorations

Gotcha, okay i was confused with my own logic, but I understand proration in general, I just don't understand how Stripe handles it. But default, stripe starts the proration date as soon as the update triggers, but how come an upgrade from $50/month to $100/month after 5mins, the next invoice is $150? That does not make sense?
