I'd say that is pretty fair to say though obviously they are used in pretty different contexts. I wouldn't say there are scenarios where the SetupIntent would fail as far as I can think of. There are payment methods that don't support being saved at all so the SetupIntent won't support those, but that won't be an error at some point down the line, it just wouldn't let the SetupIntent be created.

This isn't strictly related but I always get great technical answers in this discord but not the same level of response from stripe support in general... I need a discord for stripe support that will cover the non-public features of our account. 🙂 one can dream.
