Hello! Yep, the customer.updated Event will fire when properties on a Customer change, including tax.location. And yes, Checkout will make sure a location can be determined if automatic tax is enabled.

Great, thank you for the quick reply. I do have one more related question. Can you confirm that if automatic tax is enabled on a checkout session, but not registration exists for that jurisdiction, the payment will still succeed and the subscription will be active (assuming valid payment is provided of course)
