For #1, are you in test mode? I know there are some test mode restrictions on emails but I thought that the send_invoice method should work here
Can you send me the ID of this invoice?
yep it was in test mode: in_1MlqSAGzJjwu8BjOn0FOWl2X
i didin't actually receive an email in the 1st one and 2nd one was triggered manually in the dashboard
Would you be able to try that again but set the customer email address to exactly the one that you have on your account?
One of the test mode restrictions is that automated emails will only be sent to an address that matches the account email. I thought that that didn't apply to more manual things like send_invoice but it is sounding like it might here
Checking in to the fee aspect
hm it's the exact one i used to create the customer object. i didn't pass in other email in Invoice flow -- only the customer_id
Right, I more mean the email address that you use to log in to stripe. Or are you saying that that is already what you are using?
Yeah it is an anti spam measure
Also apologies but I am unfamiliar with the fee that is missing here. Can you tell me a bit more about it? And do you see the fee on your other test mode invoices?
no worries so my understanding is there are the 2 fees with an invoice: one for payment and one for using invoice
the first one shows up correctly and deducted from net take home
but i dont see the second fee posted anywhere
Ah gotcha, I am actually not familiar with the fees you are charged. I assumed you were the one charging a fee here. If you reach out to our support team they should know more about your invoicing fees here https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
