You can't pass an existing customer id today though we are working on it. I'd recommend contacting our support team https://support.stripe.com/contact and indicating you are interested in this feature

Hmm, bummer. I actually did contact support, but it was pretty clear they didn't understand. But thanks for the response! And cool to know it's on Stripe's radar as a feature 👍
