No a Customer can't have different balances

That balance does not have to align with your Settlement currencies (the actual currencies that you will pay out to your banks)

That's correct for their Customer balance.

If you wanted that Customer to also have a USD balance then you would need to create a new Customer

If a customer has let's say an EUR balance and receives a USD invoice, is the amount converted or does it only apply to charges of the same currency?

You can't create a USD invoice for a Customer with EUR balance

#

It will error

#

Otherwise, if they don't actually have any balance yet then you can do that and the balance will be switched to USD

I'd recommend testing this out
