When attempting to connect a standard account to a 2nd platform, by default I think it creates a duplicate account instead of connecting the same one.
How about detecting if such a duplicate was made?

Also what exactly is your end goal here?
We show payments done by another platform. There have been cases when a payment exists, but we dont "see" it. We want to show a warning to users that something may not be correct with the configuration.

I think I'm talking about "single platform connection policy"
As in - we expect there to be another platform connected, and want to show some message when there isnt
