Refund usually refer to the funds refund from your account balance to the customer. Why will it go to your account? Can you share an example Payment Intent ID (pi_xxx), so that I can take a look?

Does the customer provide proof in the bank statement that AED 4 was refunded in single transaction?

yes.

Currently we are internally testing the live account, before onboarding real customers.

I see! If you're able to get the proof of AED 4 refund in single transaction instead of two AED 2, I'd recommend reaching out to Stripe Support https://support.stripe.com/contact to check why it is so as I don't have necessary expertise in this. Please include the example Payment Intent ID and the bank statement proof in your email.
