I think it is any country for EUR payments but I do see that our docs say "Customer Locations: Europe" https://stripe.com/docs/payments/sepa-debit
Do you have a quick SEPA flow in test mode that you can try to go through with a US address? I can check if not
@muted bobcat Thank you for the answer.
Check it if it's possible
I tried from another address outside the list
But I already have other active subscriptions, therefore, it does not allow me to make any SEPA transactions.
Here is the error:
"You cannot combine currencies on a single customer. This customer has an active subscription, subscription schedule, discount, quote, or invoice item with currency usd."
@muted bobcat Could you use the country outside the list but with EUR?
That "Country Availability" tab is about the country that your account is registered for. So as long as your account country is on that list you can use SEPA
I was just able to charge a US customer for an EUR payment with SEPA in test mode so I think it is for any EUR payment
@muted bobcat so does it depend on the receiver country not from the payer country?
If I have Stripe account that was registered in "Country Availability" list, I can receive payment in EUR from any customer even though not from "Country Availability" list?
I believe so but am not 100% sure. I know the API allows it but am less sure on if there is some policy aspect here. If you reach out to our support team they should be able to clarify here https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
