Hi there!
Can you share a PaymentIntent ID where the statement descriptor is not correct?
hi! here a sample payment intent id: "pi_3Mj1jfD1mztYGj1o0yi6JETb" - the statement descriptor is correct declared on the stripe portal/object via my software, but when I look in the bank account of my sender bank (Sparkasse Nünberg, Germany) then I don't see this statement descriptor in the bank transfer (on sender side).
The statement descriptor you were expecting to see looks something like this? G******r 8****1?
yes this is correct. The first word is the name of the receiver and the second the invoice number. The total length is also below 22 characters, which is a mandatory requirement. These two words don't appear on the bank transfer statement of the sender bank. I can send you a sample (PDF or screenshot) of this, how it looks on the statement of the payment sender bank ....
From Stripe's point of view it seems everything was set correctly. Ultimately it's up to the bank to to display the statement descriptor. So I would recommend to contact the bank to check with them.
sorry Giropay supports 1500 different banks! I cannot clarify this with every bank. This is an issuse of stripe, as you have to ensure how this string is transferred to the giropay system for all 1500 banks!! Therefore please clarify this with the giropay system.
