You should be able to : https://stripe.com/docs/tax/checkout/tax-ids
Hey, thank you for your answer. My issue here is having a customer pay VAT or be exempted, based on if it's a business (so with a tax ID) or a retail client. Here is a concrete example:
- my business is based in France, I'm selling a service to an Italian customer
- french law says I'm supposed to collect 20% VAT if customer is retail, or "reverse-charge" if customer is business (so mark Stripe Customer tax exempt status to "reverse" and not apply any VAT
Do you know how can I achieve that with Stripe Checkout and Tax Rate ?
Hm I recommend you go to our support team with this question: https://support.stripe.com. They're better-versed in tax-related issues
