Hmm, yeah. I wasn't sure if maybe there was a payment_intent.payment_failed event but as this is Subscription related the error occurs before there's even a PI (the error is on the Subscription creation under the hood).

I think right now there's no way to identify errors. My recommendation would be to be more cautious when creating sessions with existing Customers (i.e. check their 'locked' currency against the currency of line items in the session).

In reality, we could probably error on session creation which would help you. I will file this with the Checkout team for their feedback and consideration.
