I don't think 1 should work. 2 is ideal

Hi, can you expound on the issue with 1? We do have the potential for a scenario where many connected accounts would receive payments from an app hosted on our domain, hence the many connected accounts being registered against a single domain. I need to know exactly how this would or would not work so that I can inform my leadership. Can you provide more details? Is there some numerical limit?

Hi there, apologies for the wait. Are you still with us?

Let me get caught up and see if I can answer

Direct charges

If you're using Direct charges then you have to have a unique domain for each account, since the payment goes directly to them (before you the platform takes your fee)

in our case, we could be hosting the payment form for them and in 1 scenario the customer would send out a link that serves from our domain but the payment is intended to go to them, to their connected account

#

so wouldnt I have to register each connected account against the same TLD?

So you're using Direct charges, but you're accepting the payments via your own website?

yeah, we have 2 scenarios. either the user could checkout from another customer website or in another case just use our site for a payment

I believe that you would need to register the domain for whatever website the payment is being accepted from. So that means your website's payments would be covered under the domain registration file hosted on your domain, but the other scenario where they checkout from a customer website would require that your customer's website also be registered

that makes sense. so in the case where we have multiple customers using our site, i would register the domain + connected id for EACH connnected id. And I want to confirm, there is not a max?

I don't believe there is

ok, great. I just wanted to confirm that since I did not see it mentioned. If you are certain I will consider that the answer! 🙂
