Hi! I believe the difference is that the difference is in how it got to that state. Uncollectible is when the invoice was not paid, or the payment is not possible. Void is when you decided to "Cancel" the Invoice.
However, it's not a technical question, so maybe it's better to refer to Support: https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
ok thank you vanya 🙂
Happy to help. Let me know if you have any other questions.
well one moment I send you a request id
I asked you this question because here, there was a payement issue I guess and the invoice was turned into void instead of uncollectible, which doesn't meet your previous answer, right ?https://dashboard.stripe.com/events/evt_1Mij9kL9NSQkHZNxaz5nsxGW
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
Thing is I asked you Support Team, which helped for functional differences but regarding the trigger I am not sure regarding the use case I sent you
Or in my case is it payment failed => canceled directly subcription without retries while I activated stripe smart retries. Hence something is missing in the flow I should have payment failed => smart retries (4x a month on my settings) => invoice set to uncollectible => subscription cancelled => invoice void right ?
And here I directly have payment failed and the day after => invoice void
I see, please let me check.
Hey, I think this need a further investigation. I am not sure if this is not an expected behaviour. Do you mind contacting Stripe Support: https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
You can mention my username, so I can pick it up.
Sorry, we are trying to help in real-time, but some issues are more tricky. I don't want to keep you waiting.
