Not sure if anyone on this server will have solid data on decline rates. If you reach out to our support team they may be able to help you look in to this a bit more https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true
Find help and support for Stripe. Our support center provides answers on all types of situations, including account information, charges and refunds, and subscriptions information. Get your questions answered and find international support for Stripe.
It also may help to ask your users to reach out to their banks if they don't think they actually have insufficient funds there
Thanks. Just wanted to compare with others as I'm reviewing it every few months and the support team isn't very helpful on it/
It's as easy as retrieving comparing totals from this page:
https://dashboard.stripe.com/payments?status[0]=failed&&page_number=2&created[gte]=1672531200&created[lte]=1677628799
to totals from this page:
https://dashboard.stripe.com/payments?status[0]=successful&&page_number=2&created[gte]=1672531200&created[lte]=1677628799

Gotcha, sorry to hear. And sorry I missed your followup for a bit. Unfortunately I don't have live mode payments to do that with myself.
Is the support team more or less saying that the declines are actually coming from the bank so your users will need to talk to them?
Yes, more or less. We have also tried reaching out to these customers at some point in the past.
Still it's very old business customers pay for serveral months and then Stripe fails to charge $5.99 from their card, blaming no funds. I appreciate it may happen to everyone... i just wanted to compare my numbers with others.
