Hi ๐ can you help me understand your model a bit more. Are your "users" entities that are both buyers and sellers on your Platform, or are they solely buyers?
@nimble ledge wanted to check in to see if you saw my above message.
Thanks @olive forum. So a user can buy and sell, and this is digital goods only.
Gotcha, so with them being both a buyer and seller, that is a bit complex to model in Stripe. In Stripe we have Customer objects that represent buyers, and work great for facilitating payments to you. However, you cannot also then pay those Customers as they are only intended to support being able to make payments.
For them to be able to accept payments as well, you'll need to use Stripe Connect and onboard those users as Connected Accounts. The Connected Accounts will be able to receive payments from you (handled by creating Transfer objects) and those funds can then be sent to their associated bank account/debit card (represented by Payout objects).

We do have the concept of customer credit balances, but not the concept of cashing those out.

Got it, thanks @olive forum - May reach out for more info at a later time.
Happy to help, we'll be here ๐
