I am unable to understand why description is missing from metadata when i export payments in live mode?
Do you mean in metadata data you have a field called 'description' that isn't returned in report API while it exists when retreiving the object throw API ?

it actually exists when i retrieve an object through Api, but does not exist when i export payments from stripe dashboard
exporting payments in dev mode correctly show all metadata fields, the problem exists only in live mode

actually i dont have access to client's dashboard
my client just reported me that she is not able to see name when she export the payments. can you please confirm if the same info is available on exporting payments ?

The info exists on the dashboard.
Probably you should ask your client to reach out to Support and see why in the Dashboard export they don't see that info. Sorry we can't help for that as it's not an technical integration Question.
