Hi, so you'd be collecting a payment just once for these 3 year plans?
The idea would be bundle "hardware with 1 free year" plus "3 years" for a customer expectation of receiving 4 years total service. At the end of that they would be on a recurring 3 year plan.
The recommendation is that you do not have 3-year recurring plans as card details could change in this period. Also, you currently cannot set a longer than a year subscription.
Card details aren't really the issue at first since they want to pre-pay. Generally institutional buyers with a yearly budget to spend now.
Can we charge once and deliver 3 consecutive 1-year subscriptions?
If you're charging once, then I'd just use one time payment. The Subscription works if you're trying to bill your customer in a recurring basis
We do need it to be recurring. If the cell plan lapses their $2500 device is a boat anchor. They just want to prepay a number of years up front.
