We don't have a lot of context about that. Ultimately Test Clocks allow you to simulate the behavior of Subscriptions over long periods of time, so the retention policy shouldn't be a blocker
This is just for regular subscriptions in the test environment

It kind of came out of nowhere - probably should have been announced a little more publicly. Pretty easy to lose some long-living QA data
Ahhh, I see what you mean. Yeah, I agree. We did send out an email roughly 4 months ago, but aside from that the blog is the only way people would have known, so I definitely get where you're coming from
Who was supposed to receive those emails? I didn't receive one, and am an admin on the account. Just want to make sure I don't miss any in the future
The owner of the Stripe account should have gotten one as far as I know
Let me see if I can dig up the text
Here's the text (updated slightly to include links since Discord text links are hard or impossible):
Hello,
We recently introduced test clocks [0] for Stripe Billing, which offer powerful testing capabilities and dramatically reduce the need to keep test mode subscriptions indefinitely. We’re reaching out to provide a reminder about the new policy for test mode subscriptions.
This policy was announced on November 16, 2022 and will be applied to all Stripe accounts as of February 1, 2023. As a reminder, here’s a summary of the policy:
The data retention policy only impacts test mode subscriptions.
We’ll automatically cancel test mode subscriptions 90 days after creation.
We’ll automatically delete test mode subscriptions 30 days after cancellation.
You can mark up to 50 test mode subscriptions as exempt in the Dashboard.
We’ve updated our subscription testing guide [1] to show how you can continue to test throughout the entire subscription life cycle.
We’ve provided additional FAQs on our support site [2].If you have any questions, please let us know at https://support.stripe.com.

Would that have come from support@stripe.com?
I think so? I'm not sure to be honest
Could you tell me who the account owner is of acct_17apFDI67GP2qpb4
Hello! I'm taking over and catching up...
No, we can't share that kind of information on Discord. This is a public server, and we can't verify your identity here. You would need to look in the Dashboard to find out who the owner of the account is.
haha yeah that was a stupid question
