I think that's likely subjective. People that understand the product they're working with will often skip the docs that explain the product and go straight to the API resource to look for fields (that's what I did, for example).

valid feedback nonetheless, though it's hard to put every single field on every object in every piece of documentation about that object

Conversly, I do not know the product, but I know I wanted to retrieve a coupon/promo code, so headed straight to that specific page.

It is not obvious that when retreiving a coupon, you can use the expand param. it should be mentioned on the retrieve page

This field is not included by default. To include it in the response, expand the applies_to field.
It's mentioned in the API docs.
