If I wanted to look up information on how to retrieve a coupon, and the products it is assigned to, the obvious page to read would be https://stripe.com/docs/api/coupons/retrieve but that page does not include any information about this "applies_to" data
For some reason it is on the object page, which is not the first place I (and arguably, most people) would look

I think that's likely subjective. People that understand the product they're working with will often skip the docs that explain the product and go straight to the API resource to look for fields (that's what I did, for example).

Conversly, I do not know the product, but I know I wanted to retrieve a coupon/promo code, so headed straight to that specific page.
It is not obvious that when retreiving a coupon, you can use the expand param. it should be mentioned on the retrieve page

This field is not included by default. To include it in the response, expand the applies_to field.
