In Test mode we won't send receipts. In livemode it should be automatic

You can do a test transaction, I think

you can check it from the dashborad under payment section and navigate to your payment . if the invoice has been sent then there will be a view eciept button otherwise it will say no reciept '

from api i think you can get the inovice and check in the reciept field field. im not sure of that'

Yes because we don't send email in Test mode
