Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹

In general this is because the issuing bank did not check this when we sent them the information.

#

What Stripe tools are you using to collect card info?

Elements.

#

And hello! ๐Ÿ™‚

#

I have two cards that were entered and they are the same card. One has the CVC as "failed" and the other is "unchecked", Same fingerprint, but different payment id.

#

Is there a possibility that one was added in the dashboard and the other was added using elements? I don't have a way to see where they were added.

If you are just adding a payment method, not actually making a charge, then it may be unchecked because we have not performed an authorization with the issuing bank yet

Ahhh.. that makes sense. I assume that's it then. If a charge is made, will that field update then?

That will depend on whether the issuing bank supports CVC checking. It's more likely it will but ultimately these values are set by the bank so we can't be 100% certain

OK. Thank you so much for the help. Have a great day!
