I have a question related to payment Intents of Stripe when the capture_method is set to manual.

as I did read from the docs that a payment intent of payment can be hold at max for 7 days
after that it will be invalid

I want to know if there is a way for epanding that duration of 7 days when setting capture_method to manual

so I can capture the payment after 20 days, 30 days and not get limited to 7 days

I hope you can assist me on this

and does updating the payment intent with the update payment intents API will renew/expand the duration of hold

For certain industries that window can be expanded for certain card brands, though mostly it is travel/hotel related things as far as I know. If you reach out to our support team they can check if your business is eligible to expand that capture window
